Look for the file "featured1.php" (typically /wp-content/themes/producer/includes/featured1.php)
That's calling the excerpt again, even though it has been called before in the same file. Leave the rest, as it's the [Read More] link. So leave the line as:
I was having trouble with excerpts appearing twice in category 1. Per the advice of an antisocial media tech support rep, I downloaded the newer Producer version (2.1.9.8) in ftp and after doing so the double excerpt disappeared and the excerpt is appearing only once. However, now the "read more" text isn't displaying at the end of the excerpt in category 1. It's appearing at the end of the other categories though. (See http://aunaturelonline.com for an example.) Please advise. Thanks.
