Producer has the ability to be run in widgets mode.

What does that mean?

It means that you can drag widgets to Home Column One, Home Column Two, Home Column Three…

The same way you can drag widgets to your sidebar, in widgets mode you can drag widgets to Home Column One, two, three, four…

The widget place holders are named "Home Column" so you will know that what you drag to them will only show on the home page (when in magazine mode)

There are ten featured category widgets for you to use. The Featured Category widgets are Featured Category One through Featured Category 10. They are meant to be connected to the "Home Column" space with the same number.

In other words, Home Column One is meant for Featured Category 1. Of course you don't have to drag Featured Category 1 to Home Column One. You can play around with the placement and drag it to any "Home Column" placeholder where it fits.
