It’s been a long wait and your patience is greatly appreciated but the CSS Styling Tool for Antisnews will be available in version 1.4 of Antisnews which is on schedule to be released by Friday March 19th. The styling tool will allow you to control your font colors, background colors, and a variety of other styling elements including:
- Ability to set background color for page
- Ability to set background color for blog title section
- Ability to control font size, color, transformation (lowercase, uppercase), link hover color of blog title
- Ability to control color, transformation, style(italics,normal,oblique), weight(normal,bold etc.), size of tagline
- Ability to control background color of navigation menu
- Ability to control font size, color, transformation, weight of navigation menu links
- Ability to control background/font colors for navigation drop down items
- Ability to control background/font for breaking news bar
- Ability to control background/links/bullets for each featured section
- Ability to control H1,H2,H3,H4,H5.H6 font color/weight/style
The above is only a small list of the style changes you will be able to make with the Antisnews CSS Styling Tool.
The version 1.4 update will also contain a number of structural improvements to the theme. If you are using the theme and have changes you would like to see made please post to the Antisnews discussion thread or reply to this post.

If you’re using Producer in non-magazine mode and you need to display the post meta on the index page when showing the full post text, you can download Producer-Show-Post-Meta.zip and replace your current copies of the file functions.php and the file index-thecontent.php with the ones included in Producer-Show-Post-Meta.zip.
The post meta displays the tags, categories the post is filed under and the comment status/comment link under the post content when the full content is displayed.
In Version 2.1 there will be an option for you to show or hide the post meta, but Version 2.1 is not available yet (as of this post). If you need immediate access to this option you can download Producer-Show-Post-Meta.zip. Producer-Show-Post-Meta.zip contains a copy of functions.php and a copy of index-thecontent.php. Replace your current copies of these two files with the ones in Producer-Show-Post-Meta.zip then go to your Dashboard and load the options form from the Appearance tab. You should see the new option Show/Hide post meta on index. It will be defaulted to “show”, but you still need to update the options to turn it on.

If you have activated the Producer theme on your site and you are now having problems accessing your WP dashboard because of an error stating
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting ‘(‘ in /homepages/40/d231101531/htdocs/ibraryguy/wp-content/themes/producer/functions.php on line 9
Or an error stating:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_BOOLEAN_AND, expecting ‘(‘ in …/wp-content/themes/Producer/functions.php on line 11
your site is not currently compatible with the available version of the Producer theme due to the version of PHP you are using.
Please download the copy of functions.php below and replace it with the one you currently have installed. It should enable you to login to your dashboard and activate a different theme. If you wish to use Producer please upgrade your version of PHP to at least version 5. If you are already using PHP 5 or higher please let us know.

When you first turn on magazine mode with the Producer Theme, your home page will be blank. That is because you do not have any featured categories setup by default. You will need to go to your producer theme options and setup your featured categories to fill the blank space.
You should try the theme in static mode before you experiment with widgets mode. If you have fewer than 3 categories on your site, it is best to use Producer in standard non-magazine mode. You need at least 3 categories to make the best use of Producer in magazine mode, and your categories should each have more than one post. If you do not have three or more categories or your categories don’t each have more than 1 post you should use Producer in standard non-magazine mode until you build up some content.
When you setup your featured categories, you need to select the number of posts you want to show for each category. You can show a different number for each category. You also need to set a character limit for the excerpt.
Your featured category excerpts are taken from the post excerpt. If you prefer to control the excerpt text be sure to add your preferred excerpt text when you make your post.

hello everybody,
is there a way to change the image chosen to form a thumbnail for a post?
i’ve noticed that newsmagazine theme always chooses the last image of a post to make the preview thumbnail in the magazine frontpage.
i’d need it to use the first…
how/where should i operate?

There was a problem in version 1.6.5 released earlier today. Posts without images were displaying a broken image because of a small error in a thumbnail related function. If you are having that problem you need to replace all the featuredX.php files in /includes with the copies from the version 1.6.6 package. Sorry about the 2 version updates in 1 day.

If you are using WP Amazon Instastore and getting fewer products imported than you would like, the best way to handle imports in order to maximize the number of products you get back is to use more specific keywords when importing one keyword at a time or multiple keywords specific to the general term for which you want to import product data.
An example of the most ideal way to import arts & photography related books.
1. Compile a list of general terms (below list compiled from amazon Arts & Photography sub categories)
- Architecture
- Design & Decorative Arts
- Drawing
- Fashion
- History & Criticism
- Instructional & How-To
- Museums & Collections
- Painting
- Photography
- Reference
- Schools, Periods & Styles
- Sculpture
2. Create a list of keywords for each general term (might help to look in the related section on amazon.com. Include some form of the general term in all keyword phrases)

The idea is to build a keyword string for each general term, so you should have 12 sets of keyword strings based on the list of general terms above. Depending on your keywords, a list such as the one above should be good for 500 – 1000 product imports
You could do your imports using the keyword strings or you could do the imports on a keyword by keyword basis. The string import is obviously faster, but the keyword by keyword import tends to return a few more results than the string import.

There is an error on line 58 in header.php of News Magazine Theme 640. The line references a function get_site_option. It should be get_option. To fix you can open header.php and navigate to line 58 and change get_site_option to get_option or you can download header.zip from here and replace your current copy with the the header.php file zipped up in header.zip.
Update: This errror “get_site_option” is also made in home.php and index.php. You can fix by finding and replacing in index.php and home.php reference to get_site_option with get_option, or you can fetch the corrected files from the latest package with version 1.6; or you can download only those files below.
