In the process of creating a WordPress theme for sports blogs. The theme is being created from a PSD file recently obtained via SitePoint.com. The theme will be a 2 column theme with a featured content slideshow. The finished design might not exactly match the sample shown.

An update to News Magazine Theme 640 is forthcoming. Update will include the ability to insert adsense ads into your single page posts. You will have 6 possibilities for where to position the ads. You can float them right or left, in which case it’s recommended to use ads sized at around 200 by 200 pixels, or you can position the ads above the post title, below the post title, at the end of the post content but above the post details box, or below the post details box. For all positions other than left and right it is recommended that you use ad size 468 by 60 pixels.
Also included in this update is the ability to exclude the default no image thumbnail for posts that do not have images.
All other feature requests are being taken into account.

Theme April Rose has been updated. The layout remains the same however the background image has changed to a new rose pink background with a pink rose accent. Other minor style elements have been fixed.

The theme Earthday has undergone some cosmetic surgery. As is typical with cosmetic surgery, whether the work done has improved or impaired the original is subject to the assessment of the eyes that behold it. The original background image and logo will be packaged in a folder named altimgs so if the new background is a little too much for your taste you can revert to the old.
In addition to the changes in appearance a number of small errors have also been fixed. Earthday is a theme that can be used for green environment nature focused, gardening and similar websites.

While perfectly aware there are tons of premium news/magazine themes already available and many of supremely excellent quality, in the process of developing a news magazine theme. Drawing inspiration from many established news websites such as MSNBC news, NY Daily News, NY Post.
Theme should be ready within the next couple of weeks.

Aubogasta is a free wordpress theme we’re currently designing. It is based on the Projection Template that Templateworld designed for Smashing Magazine and it’s readers.
We’ve downloaded it and used it to design a new wordpress theme with a similar look. The theme should be ready for download in a few days.

In the process of developing a new theme. This theme will be named lebleucite. It will be using a couple of headers from a set of free headers found at smashingmagazine.com in their “freebies” section.
lebleucite will provide 4 featured category sections. The main featured category will use a jquery slider. The second and third featured category sections will be positioned beneath the main featured category section and will be laid out in 2 columns. The fourth featured category section will be positioned beneath the second and third.
Additional features will include ad space in header and sidebar among other things.

Green is usually a tricky color to use in web design. It doesn’t go well with very many other colors and it’s not always easy to pick the right colors to complement a design that uses a green background. Plantwithpurpose.org has made excellent use of a dark shade of green, blending it with red and yellow fonts and nicely matched alternate shades of green.

One of the key reasons the design of Plant With Purpose works is the simplicty of the layout and subtlety of the colors used to complement the background.

What Is? Dellistore is described as “a full px-based, cross-browser-compliant (X)HTML/CSS-template”. It is obviously not suitable for just any type of website, but if you have a deli or other type of shop this would be a great template to use.

What Like? Like the concept and how perfectly all the color choices blend together. Very realistic and enviably flawless in design.
