News Magazine Theme 640 version 1.6.6
There was a problem in version 1.6.5 released earlier today. Posts without images were displaying a broken image because of a small error in a thumbnail related function. If you are having that problem you need to replace all the featuredX.php files in /includes with the copies from the version 1.6.6 package. Sorry about the 2 version updates in 1 day.

Sorry but the 1.6.6 updates do NOT solve this problem for us.
I can disable the cropper function in the templates as a workaround but I’d rather leave things as is so you can see the problem for yourself. On the other hand, if I find the time to debug this today myself, I’ll let you know.
Not a browser problem- IE8, Firefox, Safari the same. Running on IIS6, PHP5, GD lib functioning perfectly for other sites.
JH, version 1.6.6 only adds the ability to load thumbnails from the media library so if you aren’t getting the thumbnails to show at all it wouldn’t really apply to your particular problem. Unable to change the widget, Interesting sites, which shows up in the left sidebar of the posts.

since i have made the update to 1.6.6 there are a problem in the recent-topics area in the sidebar. no picture shown in the sidebar, how can i solve this problem.

i checked it again and it have been a problem with the picture. I saved it again in png and than it worked. So your theme works well, the picture i get was broken.

Nieves, you are receiving that message Fatal error: Call to undefined function post_password_required() because you are using a version of WordPress that pre-dates the function post_password_required. You are going to need to update your WordPress version or else you will need to switch to a different theme.
I love your news-magazine-theme, trying out version 1-6-5 on my mac. By using Safari 4 on a Mac I dont get the categories 3,4,5 and also the IndexPageSidebar with 4 Widgets. And it doesnt show the Tier 2 120 sector.
Same thing on Opera and Firefox shows no problem, only in Safari. Why?

Englinger, it is best that you use the most up-to-date version of the theme and then we can trouble shoot from that point if you are still having the same problems
