News Magazine Theme 640 Add Post Page
A few people have contacted me with concerns over the “Add Post” link that appears in the menu that goes to the dashboard when clicked. They are concerned this link gives access to the dashboard to anyone who clicks it. This concern is unnecessary. The “Add Post” link only appears if you are logged in as the administrator. If you are logged out you will notice the link does not appear. If you login as someone other than the admin you will also notice that the link does not appear. This is because the link is never shown to anyone other than the administrator. However, if you still prefer to remove the link, please keep an eye out for version 1.0.5.2 of the theme. I will add a remove option to the theme options to make it easier for you to remove the link.
In the meantime, please be assured that no one but you, the administrator, can access the dashboard through the “Add Post” link displayed in the menu because no one buy you, the administrator, is shown the “Add Post” link.

i have a question, since i cant se any help forums here ill ask here.
when i make posts, the thumbnails doesnt come up.
like the picture of the little girl holding a hand under category one,, and the girls under category 2. and so on.
how do i make my own pictures come up like that?
Hi Kenny, how are the images being attached to posts, via the media uploader?
hi, i was using the image uploader, but when i used the media uploader, it got fixed, thanks for the help.
i do have another question though, under category 1, when i make a new entry the image comes up close to the middle of the page, and the 2nd last post comes up at the left.
is there a way to change that, or maybe only have 1 image, and of the last post, and the rest of them in a list, kinda like the category 5?

I like to know, if you may help me… how can I change the font type and spacing on the css? The articles wrote end up in 1 ugly chunk of words, so I like to do some formatting… but I’m a css dummy

Deepak, the theme will remain free always. Support is provided the same way you are making an inquiry now. At some point I will setup a more organized forum but so far posting your support request/inquiry as a comment to the related post seems to work pretty well.
I cannot figure out how to get my image to show up on the leaderboard space. If I put in a link, the link just shows up.
MB, you need to insert the full HTML code for the image as in: <img src="http://www.yourimagelink.com" title="your link title" alt="the image alt text" border="0"> That’s just a general example.

I have tried inserting this html code inside of the leader box with no success (I put the jpg image into the website’s image folder with your code exactly (). I also tried putting the image into the theme’s image file and replaced your default image in the editor with the new jpg file with no success….
Not sure what I’m doing wrong here? Thanks for your help! Great theme btw!

Looks like I figured it out. Can’t use an image directory at the root, cause wordpress seems to pass that one up. Still not sure why my replacement of the default jpg in editor didn’t work. Thanks again.
