I just a few minutes ago installed your theme Tuaug4. I am using it now. So far I like it. Most of the time I like themes that display all of my post and not just give a few lines of it …but right now I am happy with your design.
My one wish would be for the links to open in a new page and not take people away from my blog. I mean most of all Follow and links like that…I like to keep readers on the blog as long as I can. Smile

Hi Morgan, when you go to the theme options page you will see the boxes to enter your facebook, twitter and other urls. Enter the full url, for example http://twitter.com/yourtwittername and so on then save the options and the icons will show up automatically

The only thing i would love to have is the option for a horizontal bar at footer and tabbed widget.
Also how i select how many posts (called Other Topics) will be visible in my homepage?

Also it would be great if we can have more options for social networks, for example friendfeed, youtube, flickr as we have now FB.
It says on the description “Horizontal categories menu and horizontal page menu with drop down child categories.” I can see the categories menu but no page menu? Is it really possible?

Hi Just downloaded your theme and its awesome …. liked it very much . There is some margin left below the calender which just spoils the layout. Just remove the Margin-bottom:1.4em; in the css for table, i dont know whether it effects any other thing but till now it is fine. Making a colorful layout of the same wud be a good thing…
My site contains various sub-categories (child categs) that are not fully displaying within the drop down in the horizontal categories menu upon mouse-over.
Can we have this updated or something to allow user to select which sub-category they’d like to view more posts about?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is there any way to put a graphic (photo, logo) in the header line, like where it says “Themes Demo Suite,” instead of plain text?
Hi Terry, look for Version 1.3 in a few days. I’ve fixed it so you can add an image title from the theme options page.

Hi ZSU, the default widgets should get overridden by the ones you drag from your dashboard. Is that’s not happening let me know.

I am also having the issue with the menu drop down. If there is more than one selection within the drop down, it gets cut off.

great template, but I have run into one issue. on the home page if i have a weblink in the post it dose not show up as a link. but if you click on the read more and you view the whole post – the weblinks work fine? any ideas?
Hi James, that is because the excerpts on the homepage have tags stripped out in order to prevent more major display errors.

I found out what’s going on with the menu drop downs, but not how to fix it.
The categories in the menu drop down are there, it just drops down BEHIND the main content, instead of in front.

Hi Cole, thanks for the info. I will be uploading the updated files to wordpress.org on Tuesday but if you want to fix the problem in the meantime open style.css and remove “overflow:hidden” from the class:

But I have one problem. In mij blog page (index) it shows only my last post but nog the other topics (other blogs). I see others who use your template doesn’t have this problem. So what am I doing wrong? Or what should I change?

I have installed this theme, the best I’ve found, and I’ve previously tried dozens. The only problem I have is that the comment box font is too small for most people to see properly when they are leaving comments. I find it too small too but I can comment from the admin panel. How can I make the font larger?
I have no knowledge of html or css but I can follow instructions.
I also have a problem with no drop-down category menus. They click okay but there is no drop down. This is not as important to me as the comment box font though.

Tuaug4 has been updated to Version 1.4. You can download the update from this site. The update is not yet up on wordpress.org
for some reason the template stop showing thumbnails for new posts on the homepage. the images are there on the individual post pages but there was at least one thumbnail per article before but not on new posts… can you let me know what i have done wrong? thanks

Cole, what browser should be used to view this shield?
It appears in Firefox for Mac and PC. In Internet Explorer, there is no shield, but all the content is to the right of the header.
No shield in Safari or Chrome.
Hi Cole, I don’t see the shield, but I do notice that the footer section of your page is missing. Could you have an error somewhere in footer.php?
The shield isn’t super noticeable. You notice it when you try to click on something and it won’t let you. It’s a very very light square that goes over the top half of the website. It’s maybe at 5% grey. It completely blocks your clicks.
I am not sure about the footer since I have not had it since August and this issue appeared in late December.
Cole, anything new installed late December? A new plugin, footer widget or anything of the kind? I am still unable to see the shield but the fact that your footer is missing suggests something is failing to process. I’ve checked your source code and the footer code is missing except for the analytics code and the closing page tags. By chance do you have a plugin or widget installed that is supposed to insert something into the footer of your page?

I just checked this morning because I got an email from a reader saying “Your SHield is gone!” and it is.
I have not done a single update since late December….I have no idea in the world what could have been causing that.
And no, no plugin inserting something into the footer.
So, I guess, problem solved?!

Hi Cole, that’s very strange. The footer part of your page is still missing on my end though? Is it not missing on yours? I don’t know what to make of the mystery.
I feel really dumb. Where’s the navigation? I just switched to this theme (which I really like by the way), but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get my pages into the navigation bar. I’ve put them in order, but nothing shows. The only way I can get to those pages is through the search box.
Please, someone, explain the obvious to me. I think I’ve been staring at this computer too long.

ririn, yes, you can use the “Site Logo” option in the theme options page to insert a graphical banner instead of using the text blog name

The inconsistency in thumbnails is bothering me though: why do some posts have thumbnails and others dont?
Chiew, the theme picks up what’s in your posts by way of images and it expects your images to be child attachments of the post
